Mammals
There have been around 5400 speicies of mammals identified on the Earth and around 90 species of these are wild mammals in the UK. This doesn't include the various different farmed, domesticated, feral or zoo mammals.
What you can see here
This collection is a selection of galleries of mammals, both large and small that have been taken from around the United Kingdom ranging from images of larger wild animals such as seals and red deer to the smaller rodents of squirrels and rats. There are also sections of galleries of mammals of captive, farm, feral and semi-feral mammals that have been taken in the UK on nature reserves, farms, moorland and zoos. Where have these been taken
The photographs in this collection have been taken in a variety of locations around the country. The seals are mostly from Horsey Gap and Donna Nook. The deer from nature reserves in Suffolk and Norfolk as well as red deer from Exmoor and the Quantocks and from Bushy Park in London. The farm mammals are from farms around the country whilst the feral deer are all from the Valley of the Rocks in Devon. Rodents and lagomorphs occur in many different areas but these are mostly from parts of East Anglia. All of the captive bred animals come from zoos around the country, mostly from Tropiquaria in West Somerset
